About
This site was designed to keep me updated of various items that I’ve been interested in buying at some point or another. Before this site, I would check Ebay and CraigsList every once in a while, and invariably, I would find the exact Jeep (or whatever) I had been looking for, I’d call, and I would be too late and the item would be sold. I’ve missed some GREAT bargains by a few hours. I just didn’t have time to check the auction listings and sale listings every hour or so. This site is now doing it for me and emailing the results to my cell phone and inbox! I’m a fairly patient buyer, and am looking for great deals, as I am currently unemployed.
Here is what I’m looking for now. Email me at aupharm @ gmail.com if you think you can help me out.
1. I’ve been searching for a Jeep CJ or Wrangler for years. Really … years. I thought I’d found one on CraigsList that was perfect on a Monday, called about it, and couldn’t find a time that the seller and I could get together until the next Friday morning. You guessed it – it sold Thursday evening. I’m looking for a nice 1977 to 2002 Jeep CJ or Wrangler in good condition for under $6500. Preferably less, however, the CJ that I missed out on was super-sharp, in almost perfect condition, had 2 tops and full doors, and only 75,000 miles, and the asking price was $6500. So, I’m looking in that price range. I’ve been talking about buying a Jeep for years, and am ready to find one. If you’ve got one to sell, or know of one for sale, please email me. It must be at least a 6-cylinder, I would prefer hard-top and full metal doors. I pay cash.
2. I am looking for a canoe or aluminum jon boat at a reasonable price. There are many lake-front houses in Alabama; it seems that every new neighborhood is built on a man-made lake these days. Many of these houses have the green aluminum jon boats or canoes haphazardly perched on the lake bank, slowly rusting away, getting dented up, or holes knocked in them, all the while not being used. If you are the owner of one of these boats, email me, as I would like to buy one. A brand new fiberglass composite canoe can be bought at Academy for $299, so I’m looking to spend quite a bit less. I’ll come pick it up and take it off your lake or creek. You are not using it anyway! My son is in Scouts, and we are both looking forward to doing quite a bit of canoeing in the next few years.
3. I’m always looking for a 1970 to 1981 Camaro or Trans-Am in good condition. If I find a Jeep first, I won’t be buying anything like this for a while.
4. Rental property in Alabama. I am looking for houses that in good shape, and just need a few cosmetic fixes. If you own a home and have any possibility of being foreclosed on by your mortgage holder, don’t abandon your house and ruin your credit. Email me, and if it looks interesting price-wise, (and I can afford what you owe on it), maybe we can work something out. I am hoping to offset my lost income with some rental income, and help people and neighborhood that have been decimated by the latest economic crisis.
5. A riding lawn mower. No Murray brand, must be in decent shape.
